Helping people educate themselves about financial planning and their retirement. Knowledge is power, and seeing the “lightbulb” go off during educational meetings is the most rewarding part of her job!

What She Was Up To Before Joining Pentegra:
Kate began her career in the retirement benefits field with Pentegra, where he started out as a Pension Account Representative in Pentegra’s Defined Benefit product area. A quick learner and talented contributor, Kate went through Pentegra’s mentoring program to learn about the other facets of our retirement plan business and how they all fit together. She was soon promoted and joined the Consulting Services team in March 2014.

She Got Her Start At:
Kate got her start at John Jay College of Criminal Justice, where she received a B.S. in Criminology. She also holds CPC, QPA, and QKA credentials.

What He Does at Pentegra:
Chuck oversees Pentegra’s retirement services consulting, marketing and communications and BOLI business development practice areas. He works closely with Pentegra’s teams to develop strategic initiatives designed to enrich the client and participant experience and meet the ongoing needs of clients. He also leads Pentegra’s BOLI business development efforts, working with clients to design customized strategies for benefit financing using BOLI.

What He Likes Best About His Job:
Chuck enjoys the people, both the Pentegra staff and the clients he serves, and especially enjoys helping clients on the path to successful retirement outcomes—and educating them on effective plan design and participant accumulation and decumulation strategies.

What He Was Up To Before Joining Pentegra:

Chuck began his career with Pentegra in 1978, where he spent many years as a relationship manager and leading our Consulting Services team. He left the organization in 2002 when he joined Glenn G. Geiger Company to focus his efforts on executive and director benefit programs as well as BOLI financing strategies. We were happy to welcome him back in 2011 as the leader of our Consulting Services team.

He Got His Start At:
St. Lawrence University in Canton, NY, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics and Psychology. He has also earned the designation of a Qualified Pension Administrator (QPA).

What he does at Pentegra:
As a senior member of our Client Service Group, George works with clients to develop effective plan design and benefit compensation strategies, manage plan level modifications and build employee awareness and appreciation for retirement programs.

What He Likes Best About His Job:
George enjoys keeping pace with the dynamic, constantly evolving retirement planning industry. He takes pride in delivering Pentegra’s initiatives and expertise to clients to help drive successful retirement outcomes.

What He Was Up To Before Joining Pentegra:
With over 35 years of experience in the business, George started his career with Aetna Life & Casualty’s Employee Benefits Division in 1981 as a Pension Analyst and Client Manager for large corporate pension plan clients. In 1987 he was recruited to a local Bank in Connecticut, joining a team of professionals to establish an Employee Benefits Trust Division. Through two separate ensuing Bank mergers, George stayed ahead of the curve to successfully manage retirement plan sponsor’s expectations for superior bundled administrative services. Successful client relationship management has been a consistent focus throughout his career.

He got his start at:
The University of Connecticut, where he earned a B.A. in Liberal Arts & Science.

What She Does at Pentegra:
Maureen plays a key role in providing plan consulting services to our national client base. As a senior member of our Client Service Group, she works with clients to develop effective plan design and benefit compensation strategies for both qualified and non-qualified programs.

What She Likes Best About Her Job:
Maureen really enjoys being able to assist clients develop solutions that meet both their benefit, cost, and retention objectives. As a Senior Consultant, she travels extensively to meet with clients and enjoys speaking to participants at retirement education meetings and developing relationships and sharing her knowledge to help clients navigate the complex world of retirement benefits.

What She Was Up To Before Joining Pentegra:
Maureen began her career at RSGroup, where she rose from Associate Account Manager to First Vice President/Account Manager. Through the acquisition of RSGroup, Maureen has been an integral part of the Pentegra team ever since and was promoted to Senior Consultant in 2010.

She Got Her Start At:
Binghamton University, where she earned a B.A. in Economics & Environmental Studies. Maureen also holds her FINRA license as well as American Society of Pension Professionals & Actuaries (ASPPA) credentials.

What He Does At Pentegra:
Steve leads a team of Senior Consultants and serves as a high level relationship Manager and technical resource for clients. He works closely with clients to develop effective plan design strategies designed to ensure successful retirement outcomes, keeps clients abreast of current regulatory changes and developments and makes certain that their retirement programs are on track to succeed.

What He Likes Best About His Job:
As a Senior Consultant, Steve travels extensively to meet with clients. With more than 30 years of experience in the business, Steve enjoys developing relationships and sharing his knowledge to help clients navigate the complex world of retirement benefits. Steve prides himself on explaining complex technical topics in a straightforward and simple manner to make them understandable.

What He Was Up To Before Joining Pentegra:
Steve found the challenge he was searching for when he was offered his first job as a Pension Administrator, where he gained experience working on all types of retirement plans. He likes to joke that he’s been challenged daily ever since, but he truly enjoys what he does. He’s honed his expertise working for several insurance firms, managing a benefits department and as a Relationship Manager at Retirement System Group Inc. (RSGroup). Through the acquisition of RSGroup, Steve has been an integral part of the Pentegra team ever since.

He Got His Start At:
The State University of New York at Stony Brook, where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Applied Math and Statistics. In addition to holding investment licenses with FINRA and being insurance licensed in multiple states, Steve earned a Qualified Pension Administrator (QPA) designation through the American Society of Pension Professionals & Actuaries (ASPPA).

What She Does at Pentegra:
An integral member of Pentegra’s Institutional Client Solutions team, Sarah delivers institutional investment management programs to clients nationwide. With expertise in the Insurance marketplace, she works closely with clients to analyze business processes and develop customized portfolio investment solutions tailored to each client’s goals and objectives.

What She Likes Best About Her Job:
Sarah loves working with her colleagues in the investment department. She finds their intelligence and integrity admirable.

What She Was To Before Joining Pentegra:
Sarah has served in many respected roles, most recently as Managing Director of Institutional Marketing in New York with both Guggenheim Partners Asset Management and Trust Company of the West. Prior to that, she spent nearly two decades as Chief Investment Officer and President of Market Street Investment Management at Provident Mutual Life and subsequently Executive Vice President and Head of Portfolio Management for the $100 billion asset manager AEGON USA Investments. She is a past President of the CFA Society of Philadelphia.

She Got Her Start At:
Dickinson College, where she earned a BA in Economics. She went on to earn her MBA from Baruch College. She also holds the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation.

What He Does at Pentegra:
Tom works with clients to develop effective plan design and benefit compensation strategies, manage plan level modifications and build employee awareness and appreciation for retirement programs.

What He Likes Best About His Job:
As an Assistant Vice President, Tom travels extensively to meet with clients. With more than 20 years of experience in the business, Tom enjoys developing relationships and sharing his knowledge to help clients navigate the complex world of retirement benefits. Tom prides himself on explaining complex technical topics in a straightforward and simple manner to make them understandable.

What He Was To Before Joining Pentegra:
Following positions at a number of financial service organizations, including Alliance Capital Management and American Express Financial Advisors, Tom last served as Retirement Services District Manager at ADP Retirement Services.

He Got His Start At:
Colgate University in central New York, where he earned a B.A. in Economics.

Scott directs Pentegra’s Client Transition operations, where new business implementation and plan conversions take place ensuring that the first step in the client experience is successful. Scott and his team have successfully converted hundreds of plans with varying demographics and plan parameters from a variety of providers.

What He Likes Best About His Job:
Scott enjoys making the sure client’s first impression with Pentegra is exceptional.

What He Has Been Up To Before Joining Pentegra:
Scott has been in the retirement plan industry for over 22 years. His first professional job opportunity was with Buck Consultants as an Actuarial Data Analyst. This led to an opportunity as the Manager of Qualified Plans for a large multi-national firm. He then joined Diversified Investment Advisors in Client Management in the technical area with a focus on 403(b) plans.

He Got His Start At:
Central Connecticut State University where he earned a B.S. in Finance and an M.B.A. from the University of Connecticut. Scott also holds various investment licenses through FINRA. He also earned Certified Pension Consultant (CPC), Qualified Pension Administrator (QPA) and Qualified 401(k) Administrator (QKA) designations through the American Society of Pension Professionals & Actuaries (ASPPA).

What She Does at Pentegra:
Regina is one of our 403(b) area experts. Acting as liaison between the Plan Sponsor, our recordkeeping provider and advisors, Regina is the point of contact for questions regarding administration and the day-to-day operation of clients’ accounts. Regina also provides technical guidance and support with respect to regulatory and legislative issues impacting the 403(b) plan.

Regina enjoys sharing her knowledge about retirement with others in order for them to understand and truly succeed in achieving their goals.

What She Was Up To Before Joining Pentegra:
Regina served as Second Vice President- Account Manager at RSGroup for nearly nine years. Through Pentegra’s acquisition of RSGroup, she has been a member of our team ever since.

She Got Her Start At:
The University at Stony Brook (New York), where she earned a B.S. in Applied Mathematics and Statistics.

What He Does at Pentegra:
As a Senior Investment Strategist, Mike oversees all aspects of portfolio management, including investment policy development, asset allocation policy, investment manager evaluation and capital markets strategy. On an ongoing basis, he also tracks performance measurement and analysis for our clients.

Mike enjoys working with clients and making the complexities of investing simple, ensuring that their retirement plan investment program continues to meet its investment policy goals and objectives.

What He Was Up To Before Joining Pentegra:
After serving as a Senior Consultant at Evaluation Associates, Mike was Chief Investment Strategist at RSGroup. Through the acquisition of RSGroup he has been a valued member of the Pentegra team ever since.

He Got His Start At:
Seton Hall University, in South Orange, New Jersey, where he earned a B.S. in Finance.

What She Does at Pentegra:
As a specialist in qualified tax-advantaged strategies for small business owners, Mary helps those business owners turn a good year into a great year by keeping more of what they have earned.

What She Was Up To Before Joining Pentegra:
Mary spent nearly 18 years as Assistant Vice President of Individual Qualified Plans at The MONY Group before becoming VP, Qualified Plan Marketing at National Life Group.

She Got Her Start At:
Ramapo College of New Jersey, where she received a B.A. in Literature. She also holds a paralegal certification from New Jersey’s Upsala College, as well as the Certified Pension Consultant (CPC) and Qualified Plan Administrator (QPA) designations from the American Society of Pension Professionals and Actuaries. Mary also holds her CPFA designation from NAPA (National Association of Plan Advisors).

What He Does at Pentegra:
Based in Wisconsin, Martin works primarily with clients throughout the upper Midwest, helping them to develop effective plan designs, manage plan level modifications, and help build employee awareness and appreciation for retirement programs.

Martin likes helping plan sponsors solve problems in order to achieve successful retirement plan outcomes.

What He Was Up To Before Joining Pentegra:
With more than twenty years of experience in the industry, Martin’s employment history includes roles as an Assistant Vice President – Trust at Neenah, WI’s Associated Bank and as the Vice President – Trust Division at US Bank. Prior to that, he served as Senior Consultant at The Newport Group before joining Bullseye Capital LLC as Senior Consultant, Retirement Plans Practice Leader.

He Got His Start At:
Amherst College, where he received a B.A., Cum Laude in Geology, and Southern Methodist University, where he earned his M.B.A. in Business.

What She Does at Pentegra:
Jill oversees the daily record keeping operations and management of Pentegra’s Greenville, SC location. In addition to retirement plan administration and compliance, the South Carolina office manages the onboarding process for new clients and daily participant recordkeeping for the division.

Jill enjoys all aspects of her job. She enjoys helping clients maximize their benefit programs.

What She Was Up To Before Joining Pentegra:
Before joining Pentegra, Jill served as 401(k) Supervisor at Jefferson-Pilot Insurance Company. Jill spent four years as Director, Employee Benefits Group at Sayre Administration & Valuation Services, until Elliott Davis, LLC’s acquisition of the company in 1993, when she became the Director, Retirement Plan Administration. Jill then served as President of Retirement Plan Advantage, LLC, until that company was acquired by Alliance Benefit Group Carolinas in 2008, where she was then named their Senior Vice President. Since the acquisition of ABG Carolinas in 2011, Jill has been an integral part of the Pentegra team.

She Got Her Start At:
South Carolina’s Limestone College, where she earned a B.S. in Business Administration. She also received an A.A. in Art and Accounting from Anderson University.
